The Amphelux is the style f-
ber optical termini that com-
plies with the ARINC 801
standard. The Amphelux is
the new generation of high
density (ceramic diameter
1,25mm), butt joint inter-
connect technology. The Amphelux can be ftted in dedicated
shells for Mil-DTL-38 999 series III (cylindrical) and ARINC 600
or EN 4165 (rectangular) connectors. Features : ceramic fer-
ule and sleeve 1,25mm. Removable alignment sleeve holder
for easy cleaning, only one termini design for all connectors,
MM and SM (PC & APC). This becomes the new worldwide
standard for the avionic market segment and fnd other ap-
plications such as for battlefeld communication.

Fiber Optic ceramic termini size

in dedicated fber optic inserts for a
high performance level (0,5dB typi-
cal per connection). Inserts available
in 2, 4 and 8 channels. These inserts
are compatible with the following
cylindrical connectors : Bayonet (LJ-
TOP), Screw type (TVOP) and Rack
and Panel (RNJOP). This technology
has been chosen for harsh environ-
ment applications on major fghting aircraft programmes.
Active Plug
The Fibre Optic Active Plug is
an electro optical interface con-
nector used in the harsh envi-
ronment market, where secure
data transmission, ofering a
high level of EMC and EMP protection comes as standard. By
specifying the Fibre Optic Active Plug, the user perceives the
interface between the equipment and fbre optic cable to be
a standard electrical connector. Amphenol ofer the facility to
incorporate an electronic conversion module housed within
the receptacle or plug backshell, providing coupling directly to
the user’s signal interface for diferent protocols.
The R39 rectangular connector provides high performance in the se-
vere environment demands of military specifcations. Its lower profle
translates into a smaller space-saving footprint and the new rectangular
orientation provides additional installation options. It delivers the same
reliable, familiar benefts found in Mil-DTL-38999 Series : Efortless in-
stallation, blind push pull mating, scoop-proofrecessed pin design... The
inserts ofer combinations of Signal, Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax, Difer-
ential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini.
RNJ rack and panel connectors with realignment capability designed for
harsh environment in terms of sealing, shocks, vibrations and EMI-RFI
protection. RNJ connectors are designed to connect electrical devices
between a moving unit (rack) and a fxed unit (panel). The locking of the
mating pair(s) is ensured by the mechanical device of the rack. The RNJ-
LP -the Low Profle version- of the RNJ is designed to match the panel
to panel dimensional specifcations of Arinc 404 and Arinc 600 providing
a very compact rack & panel interconnect solution. RNJLP connectors
are available in jam nut and square fange shell confgurations. More-
over, RNJLP connectors can withstand diferential pressure per design,
key point for avionics applications. All Mil-DTL-38999 Series III and additional LPHD -size 23 con-
tacts- insert patterns are available in RNJLP version, including Signal, Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax,
Diferential Twinax, Quadrax and Optical termini through high performance dedicated inserts for
2,5mm ferules. Hermetically sealed versions available too.
ARINC 600 connectors are recognised standard rack and panel
connector for embeeded applications. Compared to the ARINC404,
the ARINC 600 features lower mating force contacts, increased
contact count and a front release, foating keying system. Amphenol
ARINC 600 connectors ofers signal, power, coaxial, PC Tails, wire
wrap, twinax, diferential twinax and Quadrax contacts as well as dif-
ferent optical termini.
Miniature, rectangular interconnect system serves as an alternate
to cylindrical connectors where space and modularity are critical.
The rack and panel versions are ofered with guiding pins and
spring devices to ensure a perfect contact mating at the interface.
The versatility of the SIM connectors allows many diferent shapes for the rack depending on
the customer’s requirement. The contact ofering includes Power, Coax, Twinax, Triax, Diferential
Twinax, Quadrax as well as Optical termini..
Amphenol manufacture fltered connectors in cylindrical styles using
planar and tubular technology to provide EMI and EMP protection. Stan-
dard product is available in MIL-DTL-38999 and MIL-C-26482 connector
styles. Amphenol also ofer a flter design solution for other cylindrical
connectors including MIL-DTL-83723, ESC10 and ESC11 styles. Filter
adapters are also available to enable fltering to be added to existing
interfaces without the need for redesign. For PCB versions, we also
provide header assemblies to protect the connector before soldering onto PC Board.
Filters Rectangular (Mil-C-24308, MicroD...)
Amphenol ofer a large range of rectangular flter connectors such as Arinc
404, Arinc 600, Mil-C-24308 D-Sub and specifc geometries to meet cus-
tomers applications. These products are available in diferent fltering tech-
nologies : Planar arrays and Tubular capacitors. The flter types are available
in a wide range of capacitance and voltage values and may be selected in
virtually any combination within the connector insert (Pi, LRC, CLR, C, T).
