<p>Standard crimp tools such as M22520/23-01 (automatic) or M22520/23-02 (manual) are used, with appropriate die sets and locators as specified.</p>

<p>They are rated for continuous operation within a temperature range of -65°C to +200°C (and can be considered for higher than 200°C upon consultation with Amphenol Socapex).</p>
<p>Temper-Grip socket contacts can increase allowed current by up to 40% (compared to standard contacts in the same envelope). For reference only and mated with High-Current pins.</p>

<p>The size 8 pin has a front-end diameter about 3.63mm (defines in EN3155-065) and the size 8 pin AS39029 has a front-end diameter about 5.52mm. This version is also shorter.</p>
<p>Temper-Grip socket contacts could be made with standard pins (even EN3155-065 for size 8). The heat rise and acceptable current may be lower than High-Current pins.</p>
