The RNJ LP is a RNJ Low profile, meaning the distance between the 2 panels have been reducing at maximum, while providing the same benefits than a standard RNJ. It is available with all 38999 series III layouts and similar materials than the RNJ.
The RNJ connectors ensures floatability and realignment while offering blind mate possibilities. The connector's design helps the good mating while guiding the plug into the receptacle and adjusting if needed, following its realignment tolerances on 3 axis : 1mm on axial axis; 6° on angular axis and 0,5mm on longitudinal. To learn more about Rack and Panel RNJ connectors, check out our 3D video.

RNJ is derived from the D38999 series I and is HE308 qualified. Some components used in RNJ are similar to the ones used in LJT – D38999 series I, such as the contacts and the inserts.
RNJ connectors accept all 38999 series I and series III inserts. The RNJ Jam nut receptacle is fully compatible with a 38999 series I or LJT 06 plug.
To learn more about Rack and Panel RNJ connectors, check out our 3D video.

RNJLP - Rack & Panel Low profile description

The Amphenol Socapex RNJLP Rack & Panel Low Profile connector is a lightweight, high-density solution for harsh environments. Derived from the 38999 series III, it features realignment capability on three axes, allowing for axial, angular, and longitudinal realignments. The RNJLP offers the same panel distance as the ARINC 404 and is suitable for applications such as battlefield communication, military avionics, and grounded vehicles. The RNJLP connector boasts EMI shielding and grounding fingers that ensure shielding before contact mating. It has a large contacts range, including M39029 contacts compatible with Mil-DTL-38999 III 22D, 20, 16, 12, 8, and 4 contact cavities for signal, coaxial, twinax, and power contacts. The connector has a wide range of shell sizes, ranging from 11 to 25, and is made of a lightweight aluminum alloy. The plug version of the RNJLP offers a 20% weight savings compared to the standard RNJ version. It features a reinforced membrane on the floating plug, ensuring high pressure resistance and a 100% scoop-proof design for contact protection. The RNJLP is fully compatible with all M-85049 backshells for Mil-DTL-38999 series III, making it an excellent choice for applications that require realignment and floatability in harsh environments.
